My husband likes the thickness of this sweatshirt. It is warm enough for 50F degree days with no jacket. Or you can also use it as an inner layer with a coat on top for really cold sub-zero days. 

This sweatshirt was very soft and thick enough to keep me warm. I am usually a medium and I got my exact size. It was a little larger than expected but, after washing and drying it, the fit was perfect.
